I have been working hard at coming up with the next version of the reminder system, and then by the time I was ready to release it, I realized I was to far ahead into the next version to release the old.
So at this time I am about 1/2 done with yet another version and hopefully it will be out in a month. I am putting alot of time and effort into this to make it better then lighter himself (which is pretty awesome to start with.
So fear not, you will see something soon, in the mean time keep playing with lighter, keep logging in for the raffles, and just know something big is around the corner, and its gonna be BIG.

I want to apologize for the delay in the update, I have been working hard on trying to make something better then the email as the daily reminder system. With that said, it is 3/4 complete. With that said, it will not be done in time to push through before I leave for a trip.
I will continue to work on it if I can while I am in transit, and when I return I will go back to it as well. Images for profiles will be returning shortly (I hope before, if not after I return) as well.

I must make a correction, daily reminders are defaulted to ON, so if you DO NOT WANT IT, please change that setting now. There will be an official news letter sent out about this and some new things coming soon. So if you do NOT want that either, please change that option as well.

Ok so its been a long night of finishing up some updates and etc. Heres what we have as of now, now you can set your daily reminders in the options section of the account screen. If you DO NOT WANT the reminder please go change that setting.
I will be sending out the update newsletter at some point in the next few days stressing this as well. I have also set up the raffle winners to be displayed daily on a new page under stats. Dont forget you can upload a profile pic now, and change your profile info as well all from the options screen.

The Justin.tv network seems to be doing some work on their chat servers, in the last 5 min there have been 2 full reboots. Lighter will be back up and running shortly, I am taking this time to do some preventive maint.

There is alot more to come, but for now I built an image upload form for the profiles. I made it easier to update your profile info as well. I set up for daily reminder's for the daily raffle, and newsletters to be sent out as well (coming soon).
Also I have the framework in place for a raffle winners list to start to be displayed soon as well. Dont forget we are running 2 specials on the holdem game and the 5draw games. Check the stats page to see where you rank and remember top 3 get paid!

I had to restart the server early due to misc reasons, while restarting it, it was brought to my attention that some people were confused on how the games pay out bux.
So what I want to take a moment to explain how it works. When you place a bet the bux are removed from the account (unlike before where to make it harder to go broke I left them there)
then you play the hand out, then the bux are paid to you for your winning. Lets say the bet is 2,000 and you win 2,000 you are only breaking even since the 2k was removed from your account
I hope this clears up any confusion for anyone that was confused, and like I said before, I am always trying to improve the bot, make it easier better and more fun.
Also 1 last note, there will be more stats, and more things comign to the site in the next few days as well, so check back often and in the next week or 2 more for the store (I hope).

Sometimes twitter falls behind in being updated so always check here for the latest news. Like todays news...
Corrected some errors to !holdem and !5card when commands are used incorrectly, not sure why they didnt work, but they do again. Added !giveup for holdem, does the same as !fold.
Fixed the !rose counter, once again not sure why/how it stopped counting, but it does again.
I think that does it for todays updates for now. Oh 1 more thing, will be adding a stats command to goto the stats main page in the coming days/week.

Added 5 Card Draw stats, adjusted some backend stuff again, and added a fix for the !away time sequence from the other night.
Also made it so that the search for profiles, now will return results that are close to your search, so even if you dont remember the name.

Holdem special now requires you to bet 1k or more to get the points for your hand. This was due to the fact that many people were betting 1 and others were betting 2k thinking they had to. This now makes it more interesting and more fun for all.
I was just informed there is a bug in the 5card game, straights A-5 are not working at this time apperently. This will be fixed shortly along with another update.

Well it was brought to my attention today the bot had a bug in the !cometo/!join sequence, after further review, there was a variable that was not being erased and thus was issue. I since believe this has been resolved. If not, please let me know.
I also put in the place the update from the other day for !away that I was talking about, and I also made a backend update for a site update in the coming day or 2.

I have adjusted something that really was bothering me...When you are away and you speak the bot marks you as 0 secs ago talking. Soon this will not happen anymore after I restart the bot again (later tonight or tommorow night).
Also if you take a look to the left, you will see we have our first promotion, all future promotions will be located right there as well, and you never know for how long or for what they will be, so you need to check back often.

JTV: Whogotmylighter (the old version of this bot) is no longer going to be a bot. I might use him for automation, or other things, but as of Monday Night when I get home I will be removing all of his non essential functions.
I wanted to give 24 hrs or so for people to know about this. !join has already been disabled and will be moved into lighter tommorow night. Jan 19 will be a backend update/check up. No updates will be done.

Added !horoscope (astro sign) to the bot. He will show you'r daily horoscope. This is for entertainment purposes only. Should be more this weekend or the next 5 days, check back often!
Some rooms on JTV are apperently bumping people into another room after joining, this is not something I can do much about it at this time, but once the dust settles on the servers I will adjust if needed.

Noticed that trivia answers were not being processed correctly due to Jtv changing the adword system they use. I have since then resolved that issue, I also have noticed that sometimes trivia will not work in new rooms, I am looking into that issue as well at this time.
I have made some small updates to this section but I guess I never saved them, sorry! So here is the skinny on everything and anything. Lighter is now working accross all 3 jtv servers with flawless performance. He responds with !cometo and etc. Trivia is starting to have a bug but I will look into it.
We added 2 more giftcards types, they are for CA and GBP. They are available in the store. We also have profiles up and open, Ninja is working on redesigning them a bit, and will be adding more content to them as well. We will also have the new trivia stats up soon.
I think that covers all the news from the last month or 2, dont forget to check back often for new info and new things all over.

Bux are now good for something! As promised when we first started this, bux will be worth something and they are. Right now we have set up a store with 3 items in it, 2 are giftcards and 1 is a personal command. Please read the notes on the store page before making a purchase. Also new today(tonight same diff for some) is "moniez" keeping with the tradition of fun and making bux worth something we have something else new. Trade in your bux for moniez, so you can buy things such as cars, cell phones houses and more coming soon. These items will be located in your profiles (we will be setting those up in the next coming week, please patient we have alot coming out, but need the time to do it).

If you didn't already know, last week we made the decision to increase the starting bux count from 100bux to 5000bux. To make it fair for everyone, those of you who have already made an account have been credited an extra 5000bux, BUT there is a catch! To get your 5000bux you have to log into the site from the account page.
We have also given multiplayer functionality to !war, you can now play against another person. To start a multiplayer war game, you can type either !war100 or !war250 (notice there is NO space between !war and the bet
amount). See the commands page for details.

of pushed back a bit. So here it is, your most recent update (also been posted in commands page).
!away * - Your msg, will tell the bot you are away and thus let people know when they do !whereis as well.
!back is when you return.
!forecast * - works just like temp, but will give you the next days weather, please note it returns location, temp does not. Will be adjusted in time.
!disc4 - Same as the rest with another adjustment to it. Also while talking about disc's I adjusted it so that its only for mods/ops.
Best of all I think, I added !charades * - Choices are tv, music, movies, celeb. Its the tradional game of charades now for JTV :) Have fun! (beta testing for now, will add more things to it, and better scoring etc)

May 26st 2008 @ 4:10pm - Small update here today, since its been a bit since I did one and I am sorry for that, just been working my real job, working on a side project as well, and well poker is back on track, but enough about me and what I been doing, time for the update!
!youtube - Useage is # of results you want, no more then 3 are allowed for now till I find a better way to do this, then the search criteria you want. I.e. - !youtube 3 rick roll - It will only show links, since anything else makes things to long and will flood rooms, for now till i come up with a better solution.
!disc2 - Has a section now for making sure links are ok and posted, I am making a !disc3 which will have the section about cursing taken out. That is up and running as soon as I do this update.

Added an on/off switch for !kill. Please use !killoff to turn off and !killon for on....Lifecaster only.
Added !disc !night in all supported languages. Please make sure the bot is in the language it is wanted in.
Finally fixed the display bug in trivia. Now it runs cleanly and smoothly.
Last but not least, I redesigned the Voice system in the bot, to retain the memory for each room as to who gets voice and who does not. So that you do not have to give it out each time as it was previously designed to do.

This is a short update since I am still testing the new bot system (cross your fingers) and I have updated trivia. New command :

March 29th 2008 @ 9:19am - Due to recent changes on the JTV netowrk the bot is having some problems joining rooms when it should be. During this time I ask that if the bot does not get there on its own that you please invite it in.
On another note JTV ased me to remove !fap. So I have, I did however add !beat and I will be working on more things in the next day or 2. The site is going to be doing a major change so that will be the main focus for this weekend.

March 23rd 2008 @ 136pm - Did some tweaking on the back end, fixed some more punctuation problems. Added a command a few days ago, !fap *. You do not need to use a name with !fap there is 2 ways it responds and its a random set of 3. Also I finished up french for now, the rest of the good commands do not translate well so they will not be used at this time. !francais for it on and off and !english as usual will bring it back to english :)

March 10th 2008 @ 8:19am - Had to pull out the new command from the other day. My filter was not in place well enough and it was causing some problems with the commands from crapstats. Thus starting to flood the chat rooms.
On the bright side, I re-installed +b and -b +m and -m for ops, and I added !tuer * in the French section. More to come in that section.
